Norse mythology and why it inspires me
Norse mythology is a facinating subject which is really worth to explore. Compared to christianity its almost the opposite. It's vulgar, brutal and advocate lots of acts which christianity condemns.
Taking another mans life can bring you honor and a place among the gods. Sex, violence and consumtion of alcoholic beverages was approved and examples were made by the gods, who more often than seldom fought, killed, got drunk and had sexual relationships on the side of their marriages.


Notable is that in this crude religion were some values which were truly modern. One example is the male / female relationship, where males and females were considered equals. There are even more female gods than male ones in the norse mythology.


These two drawings depict scenes from two of the more famous tales, and the third drawing in this category is well on the way :)

Even though my art is digital I always start my drawings with a traditional sketch. When it's done I take a photo of it and import it to the computer.

I mostly use lighten/darken brushes in different sizes and opacities, no airbrushes, because every little detail is important.
